A Healthy Frozen Coffee Drink Recipe

In this video that I found at Lean Body Lifestyle I want to show you how you can make a healthy version of Starbuck’s famous Frappuccino or any other frozen coffee drink available these days.  This is a healthy alternative recipe for all those popular coffee drinks.

Here is the recipe in detail:

  • Take a 1 ½ cups of crushed ice – add that to a blender
  • 1 cup of Almond milk (only has 35 calories) (1 gram of carbohydrates) (0 sugars) – add to blender
  • 2 tablespoons of ground coffee – add to a blender
  • To make this a high protein drink you can add powder protein to this recipe, this is optional. If you decide to use it add 1 scoop of either vanilla or chocolate protein powder.  If you don’t have any protein powder you could add a tablespoon of unsweetened all natural baking cocoa.
  • Next add 2 teaspoons of Stevia or any other sweetener you may have at home.

Now that you have all these ingredients in the blender turn it on and pour it in a tall glass.  If you prefer it to be thicker just add some more crushed ice.  To top it off you can add a little bit of cinnamon.  The total amount of calories for this frozen coffee recipe is 165 calories!  It not only tastes great but it is a healthy alternative a frozen coffee drink that’s found at Starbucks, McDonald’s, Burger King, Dun-kin Doughnuts or any other coffee places that sell these types of drinks.
